Lebanon's president Michel Aoun on Thursday met Italy's president Sergio Mattarella at the Quirinale palace and took lunch with him, Mattarella's office said in a statement.
Foreign minister Angelino Alfano also attended the meeting, according to a statement on the Quirinale Palace website.
