An innovative export pact will kick-start Italy's COVID-19 ravaged economy by boosting sales of quality goods worldwide, foreign minister Luigi Di Maio tweeted on Tuesday.
"The Export Pact will propel the economy, focusing on Italian excellence. Our companies and our abilities will re-launch the economy," the tweet added.
The Export Pact was unveiled in June to propel Italian exports globally in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic especially in the innovation and technology sectors. It was signed by Di Maio, Italy's economic development, finance, agriculture, transport, universities and research, culture and technological innovation ministries, export agency ICE, service provider SIMEST and over 20 business, agriculture associations as well its main association of cooperatives.
