The United Nations General Assembly on Monday re-elected Italian diplomat Filippo Grandi as United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Grandi tweeted.
"The UN General Assembly has re-elected me High Commissioner for Refugees until 30 June 2023. I am humbled, and grateful to Secretary-General Antonio Guterres for his support," read the tweet.
"My UNHCR colleagues and I will keep working hard with refugees, displaced, stateless people worldwide," the tweet added.
Italy's deputy foreign minister Marina Sereni tweeted congratulations to Grandi.
