Police on Wednesday arrested the ex-wife of slain architect Alfio Molteni and Molteni's tax advisor on suspicion of his murder near the northern Italian city of Como last October.
Molteni was shot dead outside his elderly father's apartment in Verano Brianza on 14 October last year. He was hit in the leg and the lower back.
At the time of his killing, Molteni was locked in a bitter custody battle with his ex-wife, who investigators allege was having an affair with his tax advisor.
The pair face charges of ordering his murder, stalking, possessing and carrying a pistol illegally and criminal damage.
Ten other suspects accused of involvement in Molteni's murder were arrested earlier this year.
