At least 17 people died in a fire at a hotel massage centre in Iraq's Kurdistan regional capital Erbil on Friday, its governor told a local broadcaster.
Fourteen of the victims were Filipino nationals who worked at the massage centre, Erbil governor Nawzad Hadi told Rudaw.
The three other victims were from the Kurdistan Region, Hadi said.
Nine people were rushed to the West Erbil emergency hospital and 10 firefighters were also taken to the hospital to be treated for intense smoke inhalation, he added.
Firefighters controlled the fire and the incident is under investigation by the police, Rudaw reported.
