Former United Nations chief Boutros Boutros-Ghali was due to be laid to rest in Cairo on Thursday at his family church, Egypt Daily news reported.
A military funeral will be held for Boutros-Ghali Ghali at the Petrine Church, with prayers led by Coptic Pope Tawadros II, the paper said on its website.
Boutros-Ghali died in a Cairo hospital on Tuesday aged 93 after being admitted last week with a broken pelvis.
He was UN secretary-general from 1992 to 1996 and served as foreign minister of Egypt from 1977 until early 1991 during the presidency Anwar Sadaat.
The Petrine Church was built in the Italian style by the Boutros-Ghali family, starting in 1911 after the assassination of Boutros-Ghali's grandfather in 1910, while he was Egypt's prime minister.
