Two car bombs killed at least five people in the northeastern Syrian city of Hassakeh, near the Turkish border, according to activists.
The Syrian state news agency Sana said there were at least four victims of the twin blasts, which hit a refuelling station near Masharfeh, southeast of Ras al-Ayn.
Activists said the twin bombings had targeted Kurdish YPG positions.
Hassakeh is largely held by Kurdish fighters, with some parts under the control of pro-government forces, but Islamic State militants have also made efforts to capture the city.
A double car bombing in Hassakeh a week ago killed at least 26 people and wounded dozens. The blasts targeted Kurdish internal security forces in the north of the city and a Syrian government forces headquarters in its centre.
