If 24 December polls in Libya are cancelled, "grave instability" could engulf the country again, Italy's interior minister Luciana Lamorgese warned on Wednesday.
"It is crucial that Libya gets to a vote on 24 December. Europe must intervene immediately and launch partnerships, because elections do not go ahead, there is a the risk of further, grave instability," Lamorgese said.
Lamorgese made the remarks at the festival of Cities taking place in Rome this week.
