The stability and peaceful development of the Horn of Africa and Sudan was the focus of talks on Tuesday between Italy's deputy foreign minister Marina Sereni and European Union special representative for the Horn of Africa, Annette Weber.
"VM @MarinaSereni meets @EUSR_Weber," the foreign ministry tweeted.
"Focus on Ethiopia, Somalia and Sudan. Shared commitment between the European Union and Italy to consolidate peace, stability and development in the region," the tweet added.
"Support and mediation to overcome crisis situations and to strengthen humanitarian aid for the direct benefit of populations," the tweet continued.
