Italy is holding a virtual G20 summit Tuesday on Afghanistan on the initiative of premier Mario Draghi, Draghi's office said in a statement.
The summit will start at 1pm local time and Draghi will hold a press conference afterwards, according to the statement.
The meeting comes after the first talks between the United States and the Taliban since the last US troops withdrew from Afghanistan almost six weeks ago. The talks took place in Qatar from Saturday to Monday.
