Italy will "continue to give strong support to Lebanon to stabilise the country and help its development, premier Giuseppe Conte said on Tuesday during a visit to blast-hit Beirut.
"Italy will keep giving strong support to Lebanon's stability and socio-economic development," Conte stated.
The bankrupt Middle East country's government resigned last month after protests over a massive blast at Beirut’s port on August 4 that killed some 200 people, wounded thousands and ravaged large parts of the capital.
