Italian major ENI and the United Arab Emirates national oil company ADNOC are set to sign a cooperation agreement this weekend during Meloni's visit to Abu Dhabi, Adnkronos has learned from sources.
The ENI-ADNOC accord will cover many aspects of the green transition and will be inked after talks between Meloni and UAE president Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahyan on Saturday, the sources said.
Meloni and Sheikh Mohammed will also sign a declaration of intent for a a strategic partnership and announce deeper cooperation ahead of the UN COP28 climate summit taking place in Dubai from 30 November to 12 December, according to the sources.
