Women can help in the battle against the "ever-changing global threat" of terrorism and the fight against violent extremism, Italy's foreign undersecretary Marina Sereni said Monday, the foreign ministry tweeted.
"Terrorism is an ever-changing global threat, we need to remain focused and continue building effective #partnerships. We must invest in women that represent positive counter-narratives against violent extremism,” said Sereni, according to the tweet.
Sereni was among speakers who opened an Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OCSCE) counter-terrorism conference being held in Vienna and online on Monday and Tuesday.
