Italy's embassy in Lusaka and the Res4Africa foundation will hold an online seminar Wednesday on renewable energy in Zambia and how it can mitigate climate change, the foreign ministry said in a statement.
The webinar is aims to identify and nurture opportunities for collaboration on renewables to help solve the climate crisis. It will also look at financial guarantees and some of the main obstacles to investment, the statement said.
The event will study the 'Integration of Variable Renewable Energy Sources in the National Electric System of Zambia' report, which assesses the maximum amount of variable renewable energy that can be integrated into the grid while maintaining its stability, the statement added.
