War-ravaged Libya, which picked an interim premier-designate in UN-sponsored inter-Libyan dialogue last month, is at a "crucial stage" in its quest for stability, Italy's foreign minister Luigi Di Maio said on Friday.
"Libya has entered a crucial stage in its journey towards stability, through an important institutional transition," Di Maio told reporters in Rome after talks with his French counterpart Jean-Yves LeDrian.
"The international community has made a great effort to achieve this result, with the decisive and essential facilitation of the United Nations," Di Maio went on.
The talks with Le Drian had a focus on Libya and "a fruitful comparison of Italy and France's intelligence" on the country, Di Maio stated.
