Over 30 Italian companies including small-to-medium-sized firms will take part in the first online edition of the United Arab Emirates' high-profile Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition later this month in Dubai, Italy's embassy in the UAE tweeted Wednesday.
"More than 30 Italian companies including SMEs will show their latest technologies at WetexDubai digital edition 26-28 October," read the tweet.
"The official Pavilion is being designed by Italy's trade agency together with Italy's embassy in the UAE and Dubai Electricity and Water Authority," the tweet added.
The 3D exhibition is the first of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa, eliminates geographical limitations for attendees and exhibitors and adheres to social distancing rules that have been applied around the world due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the fair's website noted.
The virtual fair's design includes a networking zone, where attendees and exhibitors can interact through the live chat facility and organise one-on-one meetings on the platform, the website said.
Other features of the virtual event's landscape include four different session rooms that will host speakers from various sectors related to carbon neutral innovations and showcase efforts being made across the globe in achieving sustainability, according to the website.
