Talks on a political settlement between war-torn Libya's rival administrations held last week in Morocco and a further round of talks due next month in Geneva were the focus Italy's envoy Giuseppe Buccino and Presidential Council member Mohammed Amari Zayed's meeting in Tripoli, the Libyan Observer reported.
Buccino and Zayed covered the latest political and military developments in the former Italian colony's almost five-year-old civil war, the paper said. The meeting also looked at bilateral relations and coordination between Italy and Libya including on economic projects in the education and transportation sectors, the Libyan Observer said.
Among projects discussed by Buccino and Zayed was the renovation of the passenger terminal at Tripoli International Airport, according to the paper, which said the talks took place on Tuesday.
