BOLOGNA, Italy, Nov. 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Bologna F.C. 1909 announced yesterday their appointment of Claudio Fenucci as Chief Executive Officer of the club at an official press conference at Stadio Renato Dall'Ara.
President and Chairman Joe Tacopina formally introduced and welcomed Fenucci into his new position. The two reunite at Bologna F.C. 1909 after working closely together at A.S. Roma.
"This is another great day for the Bologna Football Club. Fenucci is one of the top managers not only in Italy but also in Europe, as well as a highly esteemed and respected person," said Tacopina.
Fenucci was most recently the Chief Operating Officer of Serie A club team A.S. Roma and served on their Board of Directors. Fenucci joined A.S. Roma in 2011 to lead the club's off-field operations.
"I strongly believe in the project that the new ownership group is working on, and that is why I am honored to be here. Joe, with incredible enthusiasm, has a vision of Bologna that extends beyond where it is now," said Fenucci.

Prior to A.S. Roma, Fenucci served as CEO of U.S. Lecce where he helped advance and promote the club from Serie C1 to Serie A.
