A total of 18 permanent residents in Italy have been flown out of Afghanistan on a flight organised by Qatar, deputy foreign minister Marina Sereni tweeted on Wednesday, thanking the Gulf state for its ongoing help.
"18 permanent residents in #Italy left Kabul on Monday 18 on a flight provided by #Qatar. Thank you @MofaQatar_EN and @Lolwah_Alkhater for the continued cooperation and support," read the tweet.
Sereni referred to Qatar's foreign ministry and to her Qatari counterpart Lolway Alkhater.
