Italy has given Lebanon 3,250 Italian language textbooks for use in the crisis-hit country's schools, the embassy tweeted on Tuesday.
"Ambassador Bombardiere delivered today 3,250 textbooks for Italian language learning," read the tweet, referencing Italy's ambassador Lebanon, Nicoletta Bombardiere.
"In the meeting with Lebanon's Educational Center for Research and Development (CRDP) President Hiam Ishac, discussion focused on enhancing cooperation in order to increase number of public schools offering Italian as a second foreign language," the tweet added.
