Italy's deputy foreign minister Emanuela Del Re on Friday wished members of the Jewish faith everywhere a happy Hannukkah holiday.
"Happy Hanukkah to the Jewish community in Italy and worldwide," Del Re tweeted.
"May the candles lit in this period keep burning bright and show us the way in these difficult times," the tweet added.
The ten-day Hanukkah holiday, also known as the Festival of Lights, is talking place from December 10-18 this year.
