Bilateral relations and Libya's path to stable democracy were a key focus of talks in Rome on Wednesday between Italy's foreign minister Luigi Di Maio and Spanish lower house of parliament foreign affairs committee chair Pau Mari Klose.
"@luigidimaio met with a delegation from the @Congreso_Es Foreign Affairs Committee led by the president @pmklose," read the tweet.
"Focus on Italy-Spain bilateral relations, European Union issues on the agenda of the (rotating) French presidency," the tweet went on.
"Electoral process and political transition in Libya, EU-Latin America relations," the tweet added.
Di Maio and Klose's talks took place during a visit to Rome by a delegation of Spanish lawmakers aimed at re-launching ties between Italy and Spain's parliaments.
