Libya's prime minister Fayez al-Sarraj has created a new security agency headed by the powerful pro-government Abu Salim Central Security Forces militia chief Abdul Ghani al-Kikli, the Libyan Observer tweeted on Monday.
"Head of Presidential Council Sarraj forms new security body under the name “'Stability Support Agency”' and appoints commander of Abu Salim Central Security Abdul Ghani al-Kikli (aka Ghinewa), as chief," read the tweet.
Sarraj appointed Ayoub Abu Ras, commander of another government-aligned militia, Tripoli Revolutionaries’ Brigade as the Stability Support Agency's deputy chief, the tweet added.
