A total 93,700 Italians have now been repatriated since the Covid-19 pandemic began earlier this year, the foreign ministry said in a statement on Monday.
A total 554 Italians returned home over the past 24 hours from four countries - Great Britain, the Canary Islands, India and the Domenican Republic, the statement said.
The repatriations took place in 1,013 operations from 120 countries, according to the statement.
The foreign ministry has worked for months to gradually bring back to Italy the many tens of thousands of citizens who were stranded abroad when countries halted international flights and closed their borders amid coronavirus fears.
