Relaunching multilateralism to solve global problems like the Coronavirus pandemic has inspired and guided Italy's Group of Twenty (G20) presidency, according to foreign minister Luigi Di Maio.
"We have been inspired by a strong commitment to re-launching effective multilateral action," Di Maio told the Think20 (T20) summit in Milan.
"The COVID-19 pandemic has further underlined the pressing need for multilateral responses in an inter-dependent international system," he said.
Italy's G20 presidency began on 1 December 2020 and ends on 31 November this year.
