Sport is an "incredible tool" to promote Italy's high-quality products and designers, according to foreign minister Luigi Di Maio.
"Sport has shown itself to be an incredible tool to promote the Made in Italy brand," foreign minister Luigi Di Maio said at an event at the Expo Dubai world trade fair.
Di Maio was speaking at the Italian Sports Day event taking place at Italy's pavilion at Expo Dubai.
"I am thinking of the synergies between sport and nutrition and the added value of the Mediterranean diet as a healthy way of life, of the synergies with fashion and design," he said.
Di Maio also gave the example of the official kit for the Italian national soccer team at Euro 2020, which was designed by Armani.
