One of the most valuable things a parent can do is to spend time with their children every day, Pope Francis said in a tweet on Tuesday.
"Parents, can you 'waste time' with your children? It is one of the most important things that you can do each day," Francis wrote.

At his weekly general audience in St Peter's Square on 7 October, Francis told pilgrims that families are not valued enough.
Families can teach belief in values such as loyalty, sincerity, trust, cooperation and respect, Francis told nearly 300 Catholic Church leaders later that day at a Vatican summit on the family.
''The family teaches us to keep our word and to respect people," he said.
