A youth allegedly stabbed to death a 55-year-old man in Sicily after the man unexpectedly stepped in front of his car, forcing him to brake suddenly, reports said on Tuesday.
Roberto Mangano, 20, leapt out of his vehicle in the northeastern Sicilian coastal city of Messina and killed Salvatore La Fauci by plunging a knife into his chest after the two men exchanged insults, eyewitnesses said.
Mangano, who had no prior criminal record, later handed himself in to police after being identified by eyewitnesses and store security cameras in the area.
He was taken to Messina's Gazzi prison, awaiting murder charges.
