Foreign minister Luigi Di Maio and economic development minister Giancarlo Giorgetti will on Tuesday chair a meeting of a new steering committee set up to boost direct foreign investment in Italy in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic.
The meeting will be streamed live on the foreign ministry's website, according to the foreign ministry statement.
The Italian government hopes foreign investment will help lift Italy's COVID-19-hit economy out of the worst recession since World War II by propelling growth and employment, according to the statement.
