Italy's foreign minister Enzo Moavero on Monday held talks with representatives from nine trade unions representing foreign ministry staff, the ministry said in a statement.,
At the meeting with career, diplomatic, management, functional area and contract staff representatives "various opinions were aired and proposals were put forward on the issues of greatest trade union interest," the statement said.
"The meeting took place in a spirit of mutual cooperation and with the shared intention of working together to improve both at the ministry's headquarters (in Rome) and at its diplomatic representations abroad."
