Italian premier Matteo Renzi has met the youngest-ever Nobel peace prize winner, 19-year-old child education activist Malala Yousafzai, Renzi's spokesman tweeted late on Tuesday.
Filippo Sensi posted to Twitter and Instagram several photos of the encounter, which took place in an undisclosed location.
Malala survived being shot in the head by the Taliban in her native Pakistan in 2012. She was awarded the Nobel prize in 2014 for her international campaigning to promote child education.
