Police on Friday detained nine anarchists, most of them women, over a firework attack on a migrant holding centre in the northwest Italian city of Turin.
The six women and three men were nabbed by anti-terror police after they hurled fireworks at the migrant identification and expulsion centre in alleged solidarity with the migrants, according to police.
The anarchists face charges of causing explosions aimed at intimidating the public and creating an affray, police said.
